▼ 27 The Ant
Al-Naml 7 of 7
And [warn of] the Day when We will gather from every nation a company of those who deny Our signs, and they will be [driven] in rows 83 Until when they come, He will say: Did you reject My communications while you had no comprehensive knowledge of them? Or what was it that you did? 84 And the Word shall fall upon them because of the evil they committed, while they speak naught. 85 Have they not seen how We made the night for them, to repose in it, and the day, to see? Surely in that is a sign for a people who are believers. 86 And on the day when the trumpet shall be blown, then those who are in the heavens and those who are in the earth shall be terrified except such as Allah please, and all shall come to him abased. 87 And thou shalt see the mountains thou deemest solid passing away as the passing away of the clouds: the handiwork of Allah Who hath perfected everything. Verily He is Aware of all that ye do. 88 If any do good, good will (accrue) to them therefrom; and they will be secure from terror that Day. 89 But those who come with an evil deed shall have their faces thrust into the Fire: 'Are you recompensed except for your deeds' 90 [SAY, O Muhammad:] "I have been bidden to worship the Sustainer of this City - Him who has made it sacred, and unto whom all things belong: and I have been bidden to be of those who surrender themselves to Him, 91 and to recite the Qur'an." So, whosoever is guided, his guidance will be to his own good. As for those who stray, tell them: "I am none but a warner." 92 And say thou: All praise unto Allah! Anon He shall shew you His signs, so that ye will recognize them. And thy Lord is not negligent of that which ye work. 93

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
