Now, he to whom We have promised a good which he is going to obtain - can he be like him whom We have given the good things of this life, but who will be brought up for punishment on the Day of Judgement? 61 On that Day He will call to them, and say, "Where are those whom you claimed to be My partners?" 62 Those against whom the sentence has become confirmed will say: Our Lord! these are they whom we caused to err; we caused them to err as we ourselves did err; to Thee we declare ourselves to be clear (of them); they never served Us. 63 And it will be said: Call your associate-gods. So they will call upon them, but they will not answer them, and they shall see the punishment; would that they had followed the right way! 64 On that Day He will call to them and He will say: 'What response did you give Our Messengers' 65 Then the news of a good answer will be obscured to them on that day, and they will not be able to ask one another. 66 But any that (in this life) had repented, believed, and worked righteousness, will have hopes to be among those who achieve salvation. 67 And your Lord creates whatsoever He wills and chooses, no choice have they (in any matter). Glorified be Allah, and exalted above all that they associate as partners (with Him). 68 And thy Lord knows what their breasts conceal and what they publish. 69 And He is God; there is no god but He. His is the praise in the former as in the latter; His too is the Judgment, and unto Him you shall be returned. 70 Say: See ye? If Allah were to make the night perpetual over you to the Day of Judgment, what god is there other than Allah, who can give you enlightenment? Will ye not then hearken? 71 Say: 'What would you think if Allah should make the day unceasing over you till the Day of Resurrection, what god, other than Allah, shall bring you the night to sleep in. Will you not see' 72 And with His mercy He made the night and day for you, so that you may rest during the night and seek His munificence during the day, and for you to be thankful. 73 And [warn of] the Day He will call them and say, "Where are my 'partners' which you used to claim?" 74 And We shall bring forth from every people a witness and We shall say to them: "Bring your proof." Then they will know that truth belongs to God alone, and that which they used to invent will fall away from them. 75
