The Spider (Al-Ankaboot)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ Alif-Lam-Mim. 1 DO MEN THINK that on their [mere] saying, "We have attained to faith", they will be left to themselves, and will not be put to a test? 2 And assuredly We have tempted those who were before them. So Allah will surely know those who are true and He will surely know the liars. 3 Or do they who work evil think that they will escape Us? Evil is it that they judge! 4 He who hopes to meet God should know that God's appointed hour is sure to come. He is the All Hearing, the All Knowing. 5 And whoever strives in Allah's cause, strives only for his own benefit; indeed Allah is Independent of the entire creation. 6 Those who believe [in the Oneness of Allah (Monotheism) and in Messenger Muhammad SAW, and do not apostate because of the harm they receive from the polytheists], and do righteous good deeds, surely, We shall remit from them their evil deeds and shall reward them according to the best of that which they used to do. 7 We have enjoined upon man kindness to his parents, but if they exert pressure on you to associate with Me in My Divinity any that you do not know (to be My associate), do not obey them. To Me is your return, and I shall let you know all that you have done. 8 And those who believe and do righteous deeds - We will surely admit them among the righteous [into Paradise]. 9 And of the people are some who say, "We believe in Allah," but when one [of them] is harmed for [the cause of] Allah, they consider the trial of the people as [if it were] the punishment of Allah. But if victory comes from your Lord, they say, "Indeed, We were with you." Is not Allah most knowing of what is within the breasts of all creatures? 10 And Allah will surely make evident those who believe, and He will surely make evident the hypocrites. 11 And those who disbelieve say unto those who believe: follow our way, and we shall surely bear your sins; whereas they shall not bear aught of their sins; verily they are the liars. 12 And they will surely bear their own burdens and some other burdens along with their own; and they will undoubtedly be questioned on the Day of Resurrection concerning what they had fabricated. 13
