We sent Noah to his people, and he lived with them a thousand years minus fifty. Then they were caught by the deluge for they were evil. 14 So We delivered him and the inmates of the ark, and made it a sign to the nations. 15 We sent Abraham and he said to his people: “Serve Allah and fear Him. This is better for you if you only knew. 16 You only serve, apart from God, idols and you create a calumny; those you serve, apart from God, have no power to provide for you. So seek after your provision with God, and serve Him, and be thankful to Him; unto Him you shall be returned. 17 But if ye deny, then nations have denied before you. The messenger is only to convey (the message) plainly. 18 Have they never observed how Allah creates for the first time and then repeats it? Indeed (to repeat the creation of a thing) is even easier for Allah (than creating it for the first time). 19 Say: 'Travel in the land and see how He started the Creation. Then Allah will originate the Everlasting Life. Allah has power over all things. 20 He punishes whom He will, and shows mercy to whom He will, and to Him you will be returned. 21 You cannot challenge God in the heavens or in the earth. No one besides God is your guardian or helper. 22
