And certainly We sent Nuh to his people, so he remained among them a thousand years save fifty years. And the deluge overtook them, while they were unjust. 14 But We saved him and the companions of the ship, and We made it a sign for the worlds. 15 And Abraham! (Remember) when he said unto his folk: Serve Allah, and keep your duty unto Him; that is better for you if ye did but know. 16 Those that you worship instead of Allah are merely idols, and you are simply inventing lies (about them). Indeed those whom you worship beside Allah have no power to provide you with any sustenance. So seek your sustenance from Allah and serve only Him and give thanks to Him alone. It is to Him that you will be sent back. 17 If you belie me, other nations before you also belied. It is only for a Messenger to deliver the clear deliverance. 18 Have they not seen how God begins the creation and then turns it back? This is not difficult at all for God. 19 Tell them, "Roam the earth and see how He originated creation. Then God will bring into being your second life. God has power over all things. 20 He punisheth whom He will and showeth mercy unto whom He will, and unto Him ye will be turned. 21 Escape Him you cannot either in the earth or in the sky; and you have no friend or helper apart from God. 22
