Indeed, We sent Noah to his people, and he tarried among them a thousand years, all but fifty; so the Flood seized them, while they were evildoers. 14 We saved Noah and the people in the Ark and made (their case) a miracle for the world. 15 And (We sent) Ibrahim, when he said to his people: Serve Allah and be careful of (your duty to) Him; this is best for you, if you did but know: 16 You only worship, other than Allah, idols and invent falsehoods. Those whom you worship, other than Allah, have no power to give you provision. Therefore seek the provision of Allah, and worship Him. Give thanks to Him, to Him you shall return' 17 But if ye deny, then nations have denied before you. The messenger is only to convey (the message) plainly. 18 What! do they not consider how Allah originates the creation, then reproduces it? Surely that is easy to Allah. 19 Say: 'Travel in the land and see how He started the Creation. Then Allah will originate the Everlasting Life. Allah has power over all things. 20 Punish whom He will, and have mercy on whom He please. And to Him will you be brought back in the end. 21 Escape Him you cannot either in the earth or in the sky; and you have no friend or helper apart from God. 22
