Corruption has appeared in the land and the sea on account of what the hands of men have wrought, that He may make them taste a part of that which they have done, so that they may return. 41 (O Prophet), say: “Traverse in the earth and see what was the end of those who went before you: most of them associated others with Allah in His Divinity.” 42 So direct your face toward the correct religion before a Day comes from Allah of which there is no repelling. That Day, they will be divided. 43 Those who disbelieve will be charged for their disbelief, while the righteous are making provision for themselves 44 so that He will recompense those who believe and do righteous deeds from His bounty. He does not love the unbelievers. 45 for among His wonders is this: He sends forth [His messages as He sends forth] the winds that bear glad tidings, so that He might give you a taste of His grace [through life-giving rains,] and that ships might sail at His behest, and that you might go about in quest of some of His bounties, and that you might have cause to be grateful. 46 And indeed We sent several Noble Messengers before you, to their nations – so they came to them with clear signs – We therefore took revenge from the guilty; and it is incumbent upon Our mercy, to help the Muslims. 47 It is God who sends the winds to raise the clouds. He spreads them in the sky as He wants, then He intensifies them, and then you can see the rain coming down from the cloud. When He sends it down upon whichever of His servants He wants, they rejoice 48 at the rainfall, though before that they had been in despair. 49 Therefore observe the result of Allah’s mercy, how He revives the earth after its death; He will indeed resurrect the dead; and He is Able to do all things. 50 But if We loose a wind, and they see it growing yellow, they remain after that unbelievers. 51 You cannot make the dead listen, nor the deaf hear. Thus, they, (the disbelievers), turn away on their heels. 52 nor can you guide the blind out of their error. You can make none hear (your call) except those who believe in Our Signs and have surrendered themselves (to Him). 53
