۞ Allah is He Who created you from a state of weakness then He gave strength after weakness, then ordained weakness and hoary hair after strength; He creates what He pleases, and He is the Knowing, the Powerful. 54 On the Day that the Hour (of Reckoning) will be established, the transgressors will swear that they tarried not but an hour: thus were they used to being deluded! 55 But those who were given the knowledge and belief will say: "You have tarried, according to the Book of God, as long as the Day of Resurrection, and this is the Day of Resurrection, but 'you do not know." 56 So that will be the Day when the excuses of the wrong-doers will not avail them, nor will they be asked to make amends. 57 verily We have propounded for men, in this Qur'an every kind of Parable: But if thou bring to them any Sign, the Unbelievers are sure to say, "Ye do nothing but talk vanities." 58 In this way does God seal the hearts of those who do not [want to] know [the truth]. 59 So be thou patient; surely God's promise is true; and let not those who have not sure faith make thee unsteady. 60
