Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
Alif. Lam. Mim. 1 These are verses of the wise Book. 2 A Guide and a Mercy to the Doers of Good,- 3 who perform the prayer, and pay the alms, and have sure faith in the Hereafter. 4 These are on a guidance from their Lord, and these are they who are successful: 5 There are some human beings who purchase an enchanting diversion in order to lead people away from the way of Allah without having any knowledge, who hold the call to the Way of Allah to ridicule. A humiliating chastisement awaits them. 6 And when Our signs are recited to such a man he turns away, waxing proud, as though he heard them not, and in his ears were heaviness; so give him good tidings of a painful chastisement. 7 For those who believe and work righteous deeds, there will be Gardens of Bliss,- 8 therein to dwell forever -- God's promise in truth; and He is the All-mighty, the All-wise. 9 He has created the heavens without any pillars, that you see and has set on the earth firm mountains, lest it should shake with you. And He has scattered therein moving (living) creatures of all kinds. And We send down water (rain) from the sky, and We cause (plants) of every goodly kind to grow therein. 10 Such is God's creation. Show me now what those (they worship) beside Him have created. Surely the evil-doers are in clear error. 11
