Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
A. L. M. 1 These are Verses of the Wise Book,- 2 Guidance and mercy for the righteous. 3 who are constant in prayer and dispense charity: for it is they, they who in their innermost are certain of the life to come! 4 Those are guided by their Lord and will surely prosper. 5 And some people buy words of play, in order to mislead from Allah’s path, without knowledge; and to make it an article of mockery; for them is a disgraceful punishment. 6 When Our verses are recited before them they turn away haughtily as though they did not hear them, as if a deafness had come into their ears. So give them tidings of a shameful punishment. 7 Surely those who believe, and do deeds of righteousness, there awaits them Gardens of Bliss 8 wherein they will live forever. It is the true promise of God. He is Majestic and All-wise. 9 He created the heavens without pillars as you see them, and put mountains upon the earth lest it might convulse with you, and He spread in it animals of every kind; and We sent down water from the cloud, then caused to grow therein (vegetation) of every noble kind. 10 This is the creation of Allah. So show Me what those other than Him have created. Rather, the wrongdoers are in clear error. 11
