In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
Alif. Lam. Mim. 1 Those are the signs of the Wise Book 2 A guidance and a mercy for the well-doers: 3 people who are steadfast in prayer, pay the religious tax, and have firm belief in the life to come. 4 It is they who follow the guidance [that comes to them] from their Sustainer; and it is they, they who shall attain to a happy state! 5 And of mankind is one who purchaseth an idle discourse, that he may mislead from Allah's way without knowledge, and taketh it by way of mockery. These! for them shall be a torment ignominious. 6 And when Our communications are recited to him, he turns back proudly, as if he had not heard them, as though in his ears were a heaviness, therefore announce to him a painful chastisement. 7 Surely those who believe and do good deeds shall have Gardens of Bliss. 8 to abide therein in accordance with God's true promise: for He alone is almighty, truly wise. 9 He created the skies without a support, as you can see, and placed stabilisers in the earth that you may dwell at ease as it revolves; and dispersed on it all varieties of creatures, and He sent down water from the skies and grew all kinds of splendid things upon it. 10 Such is God's creation. Show me now what those (they worship) beside Him have created. Surely the evil-doers are in clear error. 11
