Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Alif Lam Mim. 1 These are Verses of the Wise Book (the Quran). 2 A guidance and a mercy for the well-doers: 3 Who establish prayer and give zakah, and they, of the Hereafter, are certain [in faith]. 4 These are on a guidance from their Lord, and these are they who are successful: 5 There are some people who would purchase distracting talk, to lead astray from the Path of Allah without knowledge, and take it in mockery; for those is a humiliating punishment. 6 Whenever Our messages are conveyed to such a person, he turns away in his arrogance, as though he had not heard them -- as though his ears were sealed: give him, then, the tidings of grievous suffering [in the life to come]. 7 Indeed those who believed and did good deeds – for them are Gardens of serenity. 8 wherein they will live forever. It is the true promise of God. He is Majestic and All-wise. 9 He created the heavens without pillars as you see them, and put mountains upon the earth lest it might convulse with you, and He spread in it animals of every kind; and We sent down water from the cloud, then caused to grow therein (vegetation) of every noble kind. 10 This is the creation of God. Show me what those whom you consider equal to God have created. In fact, the unjust ones are in plain error. 11
