Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
Alif-Lam-Mim. 1 These are Verses of the Wise Book,- 2 A guidance and a mercy for the good, 3 Those who establish the prayer and give the poor-rate and of the Hereafter are convinced. 4 Those are upon guidance from their Lord; those are the prosperers. 5 And some people buy words of play, in order to mislead from Allah’s path, without knowledge; and to make it an article of mockery; for them is a disgraceful punishment. 6 For, whenever Our messages are conveyed to such a one, he turns away in his arrogance as though he had not heard them - as though there were deafness in his ears. Give him, then, the tiding of grievous suffering [in the life to come]. 7 Surely those who believe and do good deeds shall have Gardens of Bliss. 8 to abide therein in accordance with God's true promise: for He alone is almighty, truly wise. 9 He has created the skies without any support that you could see, and has placed firm mountains upon the earth, lest it sway with you, and has caused all manner of living creatures to multiply thereon. And We sent down water from the skies, and thus We made every kind of excellent plant grow there: 10 Such is God's creation. Show me now what those (they worship) beside Him have created. Surely the evil-doers are in clear error. 11
