In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
Alif, Lam, Meem. 1 Those are the signs of the Wise Book 2 A guidance and a mercy for the good, 3 Who are constant in devotion, pay the zakat, and are certain of the Hereafter. 4 Those are upon guidance from their Lord; those are the prosperers. 5 But among men are also those who spread frivolous stories to mislead (others) from the way of God, without any knowledge, and take it lightly. For such as these the nemesis will be shameful. 6 And when Our verses are recited to him he haughtily turns away as if he did not hear them – as if there is deafness in his ears; so give him the glad tidings of a painful punishment. 7 Surely, those who believe and do good works shall enter gardens of bliss, 8 therein to dwell forever -- God's promise in truth; and He is the All-mighty, the All-wise. 9 He created the heavens without pillars that you see and cast on the earth firm mountains lest it should shake with you. Upon it He dispersed all manner of crawling thing, and He sent down water from the sky with which He caused to grow in it every generous kind. 10 [All] this is God's creation: show Me, then, what others than He may have created! Nay, but the evildoers are obviously lost in error! 11
