Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
Alif. Lam. Mim. 1 These are revelations of the wise Scripture, 2 for a guidance and a mercy to the good-doers 3 Those who establish regular Prayer, and give regular Charity, and have (in their hearts) the assurance of the Hereafter. 4 Those are on [right] guidance from their Lord, and it is those who are the successful. 5 But there are, among men, those who purchase idle tales, without knowledge (or meaning), to mislead (men) from the Path of Allah and throw ridicule (on the Path): for such there will be a Humiliating Penalty. 6 When Our verses are recited before them they turn away haughtily as though they did not hear them, as if a deafness had come into their ears. So give them tidings of a shameful punishment. 7 For those who believe and work righteous deeds, there will be Gardens of Bliss,- 8 Wherein they abide eternally; [it is] the promise of Allah [which is] truth. And He is the Exalted in Might, the Wise. 9 He created the heavens without pillars that you see and has cast into the earth firmly set mountains, lest it should shift with you, and dispersed therein from every creature. And We sent down rain from the sky and made grow therein [plants] of every noble kind. 10 Such is the creation of Allah; now show me what, other than Him, created! No, the harmdoers are in clear error. 11
