In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
Alif Lam Mim 1 These are verses of the wise Book, 2 a guidance and a mercy to those who do good, 3 for those who attend to their prayers and pay the zakat and who have firm faith in the Hereafter: 4 Those are upon guidance from their Lord; those are the prosperers. 5 There are some people who would purchase distracting talk, to lead astray from the Path of Allah without knowledge, and take it in mockery; for those is a humiliating punishment. 6 And when our verses are recited to him, he turns away arrogantly as if he had not heard them, as if there was in his ears deafness. So give him tidings of a painful punishment. 7 Lo! those who believe and do good works, for them are the gardens of delight, 8 In which they will abide; it is a true promise of Allah; and only He is the Almighty, the Wise. 9 He has created the heavens without pillar as you can see, fixed the mountains on earth so that it may not shake you away, and settled therein all types of living creatures. We have sent down water from the sky and made all kinds of plants grow in gracious pairs. 10 Such is the creation of Allah; now show me what, other than Him, created! No, the harmdoers are in clear error. 11
