In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
Alif Lam Mim. 1 These are revelations of the wise Scripture, 2 A guidance and a mercy for the well-doers: 3 Who are constant in devotion, pay the zakat, and are certain of the Hereafter. 4 It is they who are on guidance from their Lord, and only they are the successful. 5 And of men is he who takes instead frivolous discourse to lead astray from Allah's path without knowledge, and to take it for a mockery; these shall have an abasing chastisement. 6 When Our verses are recited before them they turn away haughtily as though they did not hear them, as if a deafness had come into their ears. So give them tidings of a shameful punishment. 7 Lo! those who believe and do good works, for them are the gardens of delight, 8 Abiding in them; the promise of Allah; (a) true (promise), and He is the Mighty, the Wise. 9 He has created the skies without any support that you could see, and has placed firm mountains upon the earth, lest it sway with you, and has caused all manner of living creatures to multiply thereon. And We sent down water from the skies, and thus We made every kind of excellent plant grow there: 10 [All] this is God's creation: show Me, then, what others than He may have created! Nay, but the evildoers are obviously lost in error! 11
