Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
Alif Lam Mim. 1 These are Verses of the Wise Book (the Quran). 2 A guidance and a mercy for the doers of goodness, 3 Those who establish regular Prayer, and give regular Charity, and have (in their hearts) the assurance of the Hereafter. 4 Those are on [right] guidance from their Lord, and it is those who are the successful. 5 (In an attempt to show that God's revelations are only ancient legends) some people pay for meaningless tales to draw others attention away from the Quran without knowledge and treat as a matter of fun. They will suffer a humiliating torment. 6 When Our Signs are rehearsed to such a one, he turns away in arrogance, as if he heard them not, as if there were deafness in both his ears: announce to him a grievous Penalty. 7 Surely, those who believe and do good works shall enter gardens of bliss, 8 therein to dwell forever -- God's promise in truth; and He is the All-mighty, the All-wise. 9 He has created the heavens without pillar as you can see, fixed the mountains on earth so that it may not shake you away, and settled therein all types of living creatures. We have sent down water from the sky and made all kinds of plants grow in gracious pairs. 10 Such is the creation of Allah; now show me what, other than Him, created! No, the harmdoers are in clear error. 11
