Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
ALIF LAM MIM. 1 Those are the verses of the Wise Book, 2 A guide and a mercy for the Muhsinun (good-doers) 3 Those who keep up prayer and pay the poor-rate and they are certain of the hereafter. 4 Those are on [right] guidance from their Lord, and it is those who are the successful. 5 There are some human beings who purchase an enchanting diversion in order to lead people away from the way of Allah without having any knowledge, who hold the call to the Way of Allah to ridicule. A humiliating chastisement awaits them. 6 When Our verses are recited before them they turn away haughtily as though they did not hear them, as if a deafness had come into their ears. So give them tidings of a shameful punishment. 7 Lo! those who believe and do good works, for them are the gardens of delight, 8 wherein they will abide forever. That is God's true promise; He is the Mighty, the Wise One. 9 He created the heavens without pillars that you see and has cast into the earth firmly set mountains, lest it should shift with you, and dispersed therein from every creature. And We sent down rain from the sky and made grow therein [plants] of every noble kind. 10 This is the creation of Allah; shew me that which those beside Him have created. Aye! the wrong-doers are in error manifest. 11
