Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Alif, Lam, Meem. 1 THESE ARE MESSAGES of the divine writ, full of wisdom, 2 A Guide and a Mercy to the Doers of Good,- 3 who establish the prayer, pay the obligatory charity, and firmly believe in the Everlasting Life. 4 These are on a guidance from their Lord, and these are they who are successful: 5 There are some people who would purchase distracting talk, to lead astray from the Path of Allah without knowledge, and take it in mockery; for those is a humiliating punishment. 6 And when Our revelations are recited unto him he turneth away in pride as if he heard them not, as if there were a deafness in his ears. So give him tidings of a painful doom. 7 Verily those who believe and work righteous works, theirs shall be Gardens of Delight. 8 where they shall live for ever. The promise of Allah is the truth; He is the Almighty, the Wise. 9 He created the heavens without pillars you can see, and He cast on the earth firm mountains, lest it shake with you, and He scattered abroad in it all manner of crawling thing. And We sent down out of heaven water, and caused to grow in it of every generous kind. 10 this is God's creation. Show me then what those besides Him have created! The wrongdoers are in manifest error. 11
