Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
Alif Lam Mim. 1 Those are the signs of the Wise Book 2 a guidance and a mercy to those who do good, 3 Those who keep the prayer established and pay the charity and accept faith in the Hereafter. 4 Those are guided by their Lord and will surely prosper. 5 And some people buy words of play, in order to mislead from Allah’s path, without knowledge; and to make it an article of mockery; for them is a disgraceful punishment. 6 And when Our revelations are recited unto him he turneth away in his stiff-neckedness as though he heard them not: as though there was a deafness in his ears. So announce thou unto him a torment afflictive. 7 Surely those who believe and do good deeds shall have Gardens of Bliss. 8 wherein they will live forever. It is the true promise of God. He is Majestic and All-wise. 9 He has created the heavens without pillar as you can see, fixed the mountains on earth so that it may not shake you away, and settled therein all types of living creatures. We have sent down water from the sky and made all kinds of plants grow in gracious pairs. 10 [All] this is God's creation: show Me, then, what others than He may have created! Nay, but the evildoers are obviously lost in error! 11
