Prostration (Al-Sajdah)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
A. L. M. 1 The revelation of the Scripture whereof there is no doubt is from the Lord of the Worlds. 2 Or say they: He hath invented it? Nay, but it is the Truth from thy Lord, that thou mayst warn a folk to whom no warner came before thee, that haply they may walk aright. 3 Allah is He Who created the heavens and the earth and what is between them in six periods, and He mounted the throne (of authority); you have not besides Him any guardian or any intercessor, will you not then mind? 4 He governs from the heaven to the earth and then the record (of this governance) goes up to Him in a day whose measure is a thousand years in your reckoning. 5 This is the Knower of the unseen and the seen, the Mighty the Merciful, 6 It is He Who created everything in the best manner and began the creation of the human being from clay. 7 Then made his offspring from the extract of base fluid, 8 then He gave it proper shape and blew His spirit in it. He made ears, eyes and hearts for you, but you give Him very little thanks. 9 And they said, “When we have mingled into the earth, will we be created again?”; in fact they disbelieve in the meeting with their Lord. 10 ۞ Say: "The Angel of Death, put in charge of you, will (duly) take your souls: then shall ye be brought back to your Lord." 11
