Prostration (Al-Sajdah)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
A. L. M. 1 The revelation of the Book is, without doubt, from the Lord Of The Creation. 2 Do they say that he, (Muhammad), has invented it? No, it is the truth from your Lord so that you will warn the people who have not received a warning before you. Perhaps they will seek guidance. 3 It is Allah who created the heavens and the earth and whatever is between them in six days; then He established Himself above the Throne. You have not besides Him any protector or any intercessor; so will you not be reminded? 4 He directs the affair from heaven to earth. Then it will ascend to Him in one day, a day whose value is a thousand years by your reckoning. 5 He knows all that is beyond as well as all that is within a creature's sense-perception. He is the Most Mighty, the Most Compassionate, 6 Who made everything He has created good, and He began the creation of man from clay. 7 Then He made his progeny of an extract, of water held in light estimation. 8 Then He created him and (caused the angel to) breathe into him his (created) spirit. He gave you eyes and ears, and hearts, yet little do you thank. 9 They have said, "How can we be brought to life again after we have been lost in the earth?" In fact, they have no faith in the Day of Judgment 10 ۞ Say thou: the angel of death who is set over you shall cause you to die, thereafter unto your Lord ye shall be returned. 11
