Prostration (Al-Sajdah)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
Alif Lam Mim. 1 [This is] the revelation of the Book about which there is no doubt from the Lord of the worlds. 2 and yet, they [who are bent on denying the truth] assert, "[Muhammad] has invented it!" Nay, but it is the truth from thy Sustainer, enabling thee to warn [this] people to whom no warner has come before thee, so that they might follow the right path. 3 It is Allah Who created the heavens and the earth and all that is between the two, in six days, and then He established Himself on the Throne. You have no guardian or intercessor other than He. Will you, then, not take heed? 4 He directeth the ordinance from the heaven unto the earth; then it ascendeth unto Him in a Day, whereof the measure is a thousand years of that ye reckon. 5 Such is the Knower of the unseen and the seen, the Mighty, the Merciful. 6 It is He Who created everything in the best manner and began the creation of the human being from clay. 7 Then made his offspring from the extract of base fluid, 8 Then He proportioned him and breathed into him from His [created] soul and made for you hearing and vision and hearts; little are you grateful. 9 But they say: "When we have mingled with the earth, shall we be created anew?" In fact they deny the meeting with their Lord. 10 ۞ Say, "The angel of death will take you who has been entrusted with you. Then to your Lord you will be returned." 11
