Prostration (Al-Sajdah)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
Alif Lam Mim. 1 The sending down of the Book, wherein no doubt is, from the Lord of all Being. 2 Or say they: He hath invented it? Nay, but it is the Truth from thy Lord, that thou mayst warn a folk to whom no warner came before thee, that haply they may walk aright. 3 It is Allah Who created the heavens and the earth, and all what is between them, in six days, then (befitting His Majesty) established Himself over the Throne (of control); leaving Allah, there is neither a friend nor an intercessor for you; so do you not ponder? 4 He plans (all) the job(s) from the heaven to the earth – then it will return to Him on the Day which amounts to a thousand years in your count. 5 This is the Knower of the unseen and the seen, the Mighty the Merciful, 6 He Who excelled in the creation of all that He created. He originated the creation of man from clay, 7 Then He made his offspring from semen of worthless water (male and female sexual discharge). 8 Then He fashioned him and breathed into him something of a spirit from Him; and He ordained for you hearing and sight and hearts. Little is the thanks ye return. 9 For, [many are] they [who] say: "What! After we have been [dead and] lost in the earth, shall we indeed be [restored to life] in a new act of creation?" Nay, but [by saying this] they deny the truth that they are destined to meet their Sustainer! 10 ۞ Say: 'The Angel of Death, who has been given charge of you will gather you then to your Lord you shall be returned' 11
