Prostration (Al-Sajdah)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
Alif-Lam-Meem. (Alphabets of the Arabic language – Allah and to whomever He reveals, know their precise meanings.) 1 The bestowal from on high of this divine writ issues, beyond any doubt, from the Sustainer of all the worlds: 2 What! They dare say that, “He has fabricated it”? In fact it is the Truth from your Lord, in order that you warn a nation towards whom no Herald of Warning came before you, in the hope of their attaining guidance. 3 Allah it is Who created the heavens and the earth, and that which is between them, in six Days. Then He mounted the Throne. Ye have not, beside Him, a protecting friend or mediator. Will ye not then remember? 4 He plans (all) the job(s) from the heaven to the earth – then it will return to Him on the Day which amounts to a thousand years in your count. 5 Such is He, the Knower of all things, hidden and open, the Exalted (in power), the Merciful;- 6 Who made everything He has created good, and He began the creation of man from clay. 7 Then He made his seed from a draught of despised fluid; 8 Then He fashioned him and breathed into him something of a spirit from Him; and He ordained for you hearing and sight and hearts. Little is the thanks ye return. 9 And they say: "When we are (dead and become) lost in the earth, shall we indeed be recreated anew?" Nay, but they deny the Meeting with their Lord! 10 ۞ Tell them: “The angel of death who has been charged with your souls shall gather you, and then you shall be brought back to your Lord.” 11
