O believers, remember God oft, 41 and glorify Him both in the mornings and in the evenings. 42 He it is Who sendeth His benedictions to you and His angels also that He may bring you forth from darknesses into light; and unto the believers He is ever Merciful. 43 On the Day they meet Him they will be greeted with: “Peace.” He has prepared for them a generous reward. 44 O Prophet, We have sent you as a witness, a bearer of glad tidings, and to bear warning; 45 And one who invites to Allah, by His permission, and an illuminating lamp. 46 Give glad tidings to the believers that there is great bounty for them from God. 47 Do not yield to the disbelievers or the hypocrites. Ignore their annoying you. Trust in God. God is your all Sufficient Protector. 48 O Ye who believe! when ye marry believing women and then divorce them before ye have touched them, then there is no waiting-period from you incumbent on them that ye should count. So make provision for them and release them with a seemly release. 49 O Prophet! We have made lawful to thee thy wives to whom thou hast paid their dowers; and those whom thy right hand possesses out of the prisoners of war whom Allah has assigned to thee; and daughters of thy paternal uncles and aunts, and daughters of thy maternal uncles and aunts, who migrated (from Makka) with thee; and any believing woman who dedicates her soul to the Prophet if the Prophet wishes to wed her;- this only for thee, and not for the Believers (at large); We know what We have appointed for them as to their wives and the captives whom their right hands possess;- in order that there should be no difficulty for thee. And Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful. 50 ۞ You may put off whom you please of them, and you may take to you whom you please, and whom you desire of those whom you had separated provisionally; no blame attaches to you; this is most proper, so that their eyes may be cool and they may not grieve, and that they should be pleased, all of them with what you give them, and Allah knows what is in your hearts; and Allah is Knowing, Forbearing. 51 No [other] women shall henceforth be lawful to thee nor art thou [allowed] to supplant [any of] them by other wives, even though their beauty should please thee greatly: [none shall be lawful to thee] beyond those whom thou [already] hast come to possess. And God keeps watch over everything. 52
