O Prophet! Tell your wives and your daughters and wives of the believers that they should draw over themselves some of their outer garments [when in public], so as to be recognized and not harmed. God is most forgiving and most merciful. 59 ۞ If the hypocrites and those who have tainted hearts and the scandal mongers of Madinah do not desist, We shall surely give you authority over them and their days in that city will be numbered. 60 bereft of God's grace, they shall be seized wherever they may be found, and slain one and all. 61 [This is] the established way of Allah with those who passed on before; and you will not find in the way of Allah any change. 62 People ask you concerning the Hour, say: "The knowledge of it is with Allah only. What do you know? It may be that the Hour is near!" 63 Allah has cursed the unbelievers and has prepared for them a Blazing Fire; 64 They will live in it for ever, and will find no saviour or helper. 65 Upon the day when their faces are turned about in the Fire they shall say, 'Ah, would we had obeyed God and the Messenger! 66 They will say, "Lord, we obeyed our chiefs and elders and they caused us to go astray. 67 O our Lord! give them a double punishment and curse them with a great curse. 68
