O Prophet! Tell thy wives and thy daughters, as well as all [other] believing women, that they should draw over themselves some of their outer garments [when in public]: this will be more conducive to their being recognized [as decent women] and not annoyed. But [withal,] God is indeed much-forgiving, a dispenser of grace! 59 ۞ If the hypocrites and perverts, and the rumour-mongers of Madinah, do not desist even now, We shall rouse you against them, so they would not be able to live but a short time in the city with you. 60 Cursed: wherever they are found they shall be seized and murdered, a (horrible) murdering. 61 [This is] the established way of Allah with those who passed on before; and you will not find in the way of Allah any change. 62 PEOPLE will ask thee about the Last Hour. Say: "Knowledge thereof rests with God alone; yet for all thou knowest, the Last Hour may well be near!" 63 Allah has cursed the unbelievers and has prepared for them a Blazing Fire; 64 To abide therein for a long time; they shall not find a protector or a helper. 65 On the day when their faces will be turned from side to side on the fire, they will say, "Would that we had obeyed God and the Messenger!" 66 They will say, "Lord, we obeyed our chiefs and elders and they caused us to go astray. 67 Our Lord, mete out to them a double chastisement and lay upon them a mighty curse.” 68
