Believers, do not behave like those who slandered Moses. God cleared him of their allegations. He was honourable in the sight of God. 69 O you who believe, fear Allah and say sound statements, 70 That He may straighten your affairs for you and forgive your sins; and he who obeys God and His Prophet will be successful. 71 Truly, We did offer AlAmanah (the trust or moral responsibility or honesty and all the duties which Allah has ordained) to the heavens and the earth, and the mountains, but they declined to bear it and were afraid of it (i.e. afraid of Allah's Torment). But man bore it. Verily, he was unjust (to himself) and ignorant (of its results). 72 In order that Allah may punish the hypocrite men, and the hypocrite women, and the polytheist men, and the polytheist women – and accept the repentance of believing men and believing women; and Allah is Oft Forgiving, Most Merciful. 73
