Say, [O Muhammad], "Invoke those you claim [as deities] besides Allah." They do not possess an atom's weight [of ability] in the heavens or on the earth, and they do not have therein any partnership [with Him], nor is there for Him from among them any assistant. 22 No intercession can avail with Allah except for him whom Allah permits (to intercede). When their hearts are relieved of fright they will ask the intercessors: “What did your Lord say?” They will reply: “(He said) what is right, and He is the High, the Great.” 23 ۞ Proclaim, “Who provides you sustenance from the sky and the earth?” Proclaim, “Allah – and indeed either we or you are upon guidance, or in open error.” 24 Say: Ye will not be asked of what we committed, nor shall we be asked of what ye do. 25 Say, “Our Lord will bring us all together, and then judge truthfully between us; and He is the Best Judge, the All Knowing.” 26 Say: Show me those whom you have joined with Him as associates; by no means (can you do it). Nay! He is Allah, the Mighty, the Wise. 27 We have sent you as a bearer of glad tidings and a warner for the whole of mankind, but most people have no knowledge. 28 And they say, “When will this promise come, if you are truthful? 29 Say: You have the appointment of a day from which you cannot hold back any while, nor can you bring it on. 30
