۞ Say to them, "I exhort you to do one thing: and that is to stand up before God in pairs, or singly, and then reflect. You will thus realize that your companion is not afflicted with madness. He is only a warner, warning you of an impending severe chastisement." 46 Say: "No reward have I ever asked of you [out of anything] that is yours: my reward rests with none but God, and He is witness unto everything!" 47 Say: Surely my Lord utters the truth, the great Knower of the unseen. 48 Say. 'Truth has come; falsehood originates not, nor brings again.' 49 Proclaim, “If I stray, I stray only for my own harm; and if I attain guidance, it is because of what my Lord has sent down to me; indeed He is All Hearing, Close.” 50 And could you see when they shall become terrified, but (then) there shall be no escape and they shall be seized upon from a near place 51 and then they will say, "We have faith in the Quran." How can they have any faith when they are far away from this world. 52 seeing they disbelieved in it before, guessing at the Unseen from a place far away? 53 And a barrier will be set between them and that which they desire [i.e. At-Taubah (turning to Allah in repentance) and the accepting of Faith etc.], as was done in the past with the people of their kind. Verily, they have been in grave doubt. 54
