۞ Proclaim, “I advise you just one thing; that stand up for Allah's sake, in twos and ones, and then think”; there is not a trace of insanity in this companion of yours; he is not but a Herald of Warning for you, before the advent of a severe punishment! 46 Say: "No reward have I ever asked of you [out of anything] that is yours: my reward rests with none but God, and He is witness unto everything!" 47 Say, "My Lord speaks the Truth. He has the knowledge of the unseen". 48 Say: 'Truth has come. Falsehood has vanished and shall return no more.' 49 Say thou: if ever I go astray, I shall stray only against myself, and if I remain guided it is because of that which my Lord hath revealed unto me. Verily He is Hearing, Nigh. 50 And could you see when they shall become terrified, but (then) there shall be no escape and they shall be seized upon from a near place 51 then they will say, "We now believe in Him." But how will they attain to faith, having gone so far away from it? 52 And they disbelieved in it before, and they utter conjectures with regard to the unseen from a distant place. 53 And a barrier is set between them and that which they desire, as it was done before with their like; they were in suspicious doubt' 54
