He is only a warner to you before a severe punishment. 46 Say, "If I have asked you for any recompense, you can keep it. It is God alone who will reward me: He is the witness of all things." 47 Say: Surely my Lord utters the truth, the great Knower of the unseen. 48 Say: “The Truth has come and falsehood can neither originate nor recreate anything.” 49 Say: 'If I go astray, I go astray only to my own loss; if I am guided, it is by what my Lord reveals to me. He is All-hearing, Ever-nigh.' 50 And if you could but see, when they will be terrified with no escape (for them), and they will be seized from a near place. 51 And then they will say: we believe therein. But whence can there be the attainment of faith from a place so afar. 52 since they disbelieved in it before, guessing at the Unseen from a distant place? 53 And prevention will be placed between them and what they desire, as was done with their kind before.
