۞ Say: "I counsel you one thing only: Be [ever conscious of] standing before God, whether you are in the company of others or alone; and then bethink yourselves [that] there is no madness in [this prophet,] your fellow-man: he is only a warner to you of suffering severe to come." 46 Say: "No reward have I ever asked of you [out of anything] that is yours: my reward rests with none but God, and He is witness unto everything!" 47 Say to them: “My Lord hurls down the Truth (upon me). He knows fully all that lies beyond the range of perception.” 48 Say: "The truth has now come [to light, and falsehood is bound to wither away]: for, falsehood cannot bring forth anything new, nor can it bring back [what has passed away]." 49 Proclaim, “If I stray, I stray only for my own harm; and if I attain guidance, it is because of what my Lord has sent down to me; indeed He is All Hearing, Close.” 50 And if you could see when they are terrified but there is no escape, and they will be seized from a place nearby. 51 And then they will say: we believe therein. But whence can there be the attainment of faith from a place so afar. 52 They disbelieved in it before and indulged in conjectures from far away. 53 And a gulf is set between them and that which they desire, as was done for people of their kind of old. Lo! they were in hopeless doubt. 54
