۞ Say to them, "I exhort you to do one thing: and that is to stand up before God in pairs, or singly, and then reflect. You will thus realize that your companion is not afflicted with madness. He is only a warner, warning you of an impending severe chastisement." 46 Say, "Whatever payment I might have asked of you - it is yours. My payment is only from Allah, and He is, over all things, Witness." 47 Say: "My Lord casts the truth: He is the knower of things unknown." 48 Say: "The truth has now come [to light, and falsehood is bound to wither away]: for, falsehood cannot bring forth anything new, nor can it bring back [what has passed away]." 49 Say, "If I go astray it will only be against my own soul, but if I receive guidance, it will be through my Lord's revelations." He is All-hearing and Omnipresent. 50 Would that you could see how the unbelievers will be terrified by death from which they cannot escape. They will be seized from a nearby place 51 And they will [then] say, "We believe in it!" But how for them will be the taking [of faith] from a place far away? 52 When they disbelieved in it of yore. They aim at the unseen from afar off. 53 And a barrier is set between them and that they desire, as was done with the likes of them aforetime; they were in doubt disquieting. 54
