۞ Say: "I counsel you one thing only: Be [ever conscious of] standing before God, whether you are in the company of others or alone; and then bethink yourselves [that] there is no madness in [this prophet,] your fellow-man: he is only a warner to you of suffering severe to come." 46 Say: "The reward I ask is for yourself. My reward is due from none but God; and He is witness over everything." 47 Say (O Muhammad SAW): "Verily! My Lord sends down Inspiration and makes apparent the truth (i.e. this Revelation that had come to me), the AllKnower of the Ghaib (unseen). 48 Say thou: the truth is come, and falsehood shall neither originate nor be restored. 49 Say: "If I am in error it is to my own loss; if I am on guidance that is so because of what my Lord reveals to me. He is all-hearing and all-too-near." 50 Would that you could see how the unbelievers will be terrified by death from which they cannot escape. They will be seized from a nearby place 51 and will cry, "We do [now] believe in it!" But how can they [hope to] attain [to salvation] from so far away, 52 Indeed they did disbelieve (in the Oneness of Allah, Islam, the Quran and Muhammad SAW) before (in this world), and they (used to) conjecture about the unseen [i.e. the Hereafter, Hell, Paradise, Resurrection and the Promise of Allah, etc. (by saying) all that is untrue], from a far place. 53 A barrier shall be raised between them and what they desired, as was done with their partisans before. They too were filled with disquieting doubt. 54
