۞ Say thou: I but exhort you unto one thing: that ye stand, for Allah's sake, by twos and singly, and then ponder; in your companion there is no madness; he is naught but a warner unto you preceding a torment severe. 46 Say, “Whatever fee I might have asked from you upon this, is yours; my reward is only upon Allah; and He is Witness over all things.” 47 Say to them, "My Lord hurls forth the Truth [at falsehood] and He is the knower of hidden things." 48 Say: "The truth has come, and falsehood had neither precedence nor will reappear." 49 Say: If I err, I err only against my own soul, and if I follow a right direction, it is because of what my Lord reveals to me; surely He is Hearing, Nigh. 50 And couldst thou see the time when they shall be terrified! Then there shall be no escaping, and they shall be laid hold of from a place quite nigh. 51 and then they will say, "We have faith in the Quran." How can they have any faith when they are far away from this world. 52 Seeing that they did reject Faith (entirely) before, and that they (continually) cast (slanders) on the unseen from a position far off? 53 And so, a barrier will be set between them and all that they had [ever] desired, as will be done to such of their kind as lived before their time: for, behold, they [too] were lost in doubt amounting to suspicion. 54
