۞ Say, "I only advise you of one [thing] - that you stand for Allah, [seeking truth] in pairs and individually, and then give thought." There is not in your companion any madness. He is only a warner to you before a severe punishment. 46 Say, "If I have asked you for any recompense, you can keep it. It is God alone who will reward me: He is the witness of all things." 47 Say: 'My Lord hurls the truth -- the Knower of the Unseen.' 48 Say: "The truth has come, and falsehood had neither precedence nor will reappear." 49 Say: 'If I go astray, I go astray only to my own loss; if I am guided, it is by what my Lord reveals to me. He is All-hearing, Ever-nigh.' 50 IF THOU couldst but see [how the deniers of the truth will fare on Resurrection Day,] when they will shrink in terror, with nowhere to escape - since they will have been seized from so close nearby 51 then they will say, "We now believe in Him." But how will they attain to faith, having gone so far away from it? 52 seeing they disbelieved in it before, guessing at the Unseen from a place far away? 53 And a barrier is set between them and that which they desire, as it was done before with their like; they were in suspicious doubt' 54
