۞ Say to them, "I exhort you to do one thing: and that is to stand up before God in pairs, or singly, and then reflect. You will thus realize that your companion is not afflicted with madness. He is only a warner, warning you of an impending severe chastisement." 46 Say: 'I ask no wage of you; that shall be yours. My wage is only upon Allah and He is Witness over everything' 47 Say: 'My Lord hurls the truth -- the Knower of the Unseen.' 48 Say, "The truth has come, and falsehood can neither begin [anything] nor repeat [it]." 49 Say: 'If I go astray, then I go astray only against myself; if I am guided it is because of that which my Lord has revealed to me. He is the Hearer, and the Near' 50 And could you see when they shall become terrified, but (then) there shall be no escape and they shall be seized upon from a near place 51 then they will say, "We now believe in Him." But how will they attain to faith, having gone so far away from it? 52 And they disbelieved in it before, and they utter conjectures with regard to the unseen from a distant place. 53 And a barrier is set between them and what they desire*, as was done for their earlier groups; indeed they are in a doubt that deceives. (To accept faith or return to earth) 54
