1/2 Hizb 44
< random >
۞ O men! you are they who stand in need of Allah, and Allah is He Who is the Self-sufficient, the Praised One. 15 He can put you away, if He will, and bring a new creation 16 that is surely no great matter for God. 17 No soul laden bears the load of another; and if one heavy-burdened calls for its load to be carried, not a thing of it will be carried, though he be a near kinsman. Thou warnest only those who fear their Lord in the Unseen and perform the prayer; and whosoever purifies himself, purifies himself only for his own soul's good. To God is the homecoming. 18 And the blind and the sighted are not equal! 19 Nor are (alike) the darkness (disbelief) and the light (Belief in Islamic Monotheism). 20 And neither are the shadow and the hot sunshine! 21 And not equal are the living and the dead! Indeed Allah causes them to listen*, whomever He wills; and you cannot make those who are in the graves** listen. (* Listen to guidance **The disbelievers are referred to as dead, whose fates are sealed.) 22 thou art naught but a warner. 23 And O dear Prophet (Mohammed peace and blessings be upon him), We have indeed sent you with the Truth, giving glad tidings and heralding warnings; and there was a Herald of Warning in every group. 24 And if they belie thee, then surely those before them have also belied. Their apostles came unto them with evidences and scriptures and a Book luminous. 25 Then I took hold of those who disbelieved. So how terrible was My disapproval! 26
