۞ O men! It is you who stand in need of God -- God is self-sufficient, and praiseworthy -- 15 If He wills, He can do away with you and bring forth a new creation. 16 That surely is not difficult for Allah. 17 And no bearer of burdens will bear the burden of another. And if a heavily laden soul calls [another] to [carry some of] its load, nothing of it will be carried, even if he should be a close relative. You can only warn those who fear their Lord unseen and have established prayer. And whoever purifies himself only purifies himself for [the benefit of] his soul. And to Allah is the [final] destination. 18 Not equal are the blind and the seeing, 19 Nor is darkness (tantamount to) light; 20 Nor the shade and the heat, 21 And not equal are the living and the dead! Indeed Allah causes them to listen*, whomever He wills; and you cannot make those who are in the graves** listen. (* Listen to guidance **The disbelievers are referred to as dead, whose fates are sealed.) 22 You are but a warner, 23 We have sent you with the truth, a bearer of glad tidings and warning, for there is no nation, that has not had a warner pass away in it. 24 And if these disbelievers deny you, those before them had also denied; their Noble Messengers came to them with clear proofs and scriptures and the bright Book. 25 so I seized the unbelievers and how terrible was their torment. 26
