۞ People, you are always in need of God and God is Self-sufficient and Praiseworthy. 15 if He so wished, He could take you away and replace you with a new creation; 16 that is surely no great matter for God. 17 And a burdened soul cannot bear the burden of another and if one weighed down by burden should cry for (another to carry) its burden, not aught of it shall be carried, even though he be near of kin. You warn only those who fear their Lord in secret and keep up prayer; and whoever purifies himself, he purifies himself only for (the good of) his own soul; and to Allah is the eventual coming. 18 And the blind and the sighted are not equal! 19 And neither are darkness and brightness! 20 shade and heat are not alike, 21 Equal are not the living and the dead. Verily God makes those He will to listen; but you cannot make those hear who are in their graves. 22 You are purely a Herald of Warning. 23 And O dear Prophet (Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), We have indeed sent you with the Truth, giving glad tidings and heralding warnings; and there was a Herald of Warning in every group. 24 If they belie you, those before them also belied. Their Messengers came to them with clear signs; the Psalms, and the Illuminating Book. 25 [but] in the end I took to task all those who were bent on denying the truth: and how awesome was My rejection! 26
