۞ O men! you are they who stand in need of Allah, and Allah is He Who is the Self-sufficient, the Praised One. 15 If He wills, He can take you away and bring other creatures. 16 Nor is that (at all) difficult for Allah. 17 And a bearer of burthen will not bear another's burthen, and if one heavy-laden calleth for his load, naught thereof will be borne although he be of kin. Thou canst warn only those who fear their Lord, unseen, and establish prayer. And whosoever becometh clean becometh clean only for himself; and unto Allah is the return. 18 Not alike are the blind and the seeing. 19 Nor are the darknesses and the light, 20 Nor are (alike) the shade and the sun's heat. 21 and neither are equal the living and the dead [of heart]. Behold, [O Muhammad,] God can make hear whomever He wills, whereas thou canst not make hear such as are [dead of heart like the dead] in their graves: 22 You are naught but a warner. 23 Verily We! We have sent thee with the truth, as a bearer of glad tidings and as a warner; and there is not a community but there hath passed among them a warner. 24 And if they call you a liar, so did those before them indeed call (their apostles) liars; their apostles had come to them with clear arguments, and with scriptures, and with the illuminating book. 25 but in the end I seized those who were bent on denying the truth and how terrible was My punishment. 26
