۞ O ye men! It is ye that have need of Allah: but Allah is the One Free of all wants, worthy of all praise. 15 If He will, He can put you away and bring a new creation; 16 this is not a great matter for Allah. 17 No one who carries a burden bears another's load; and even if the burdened soul cry out for help none will carry the least of its burden, however close a relative it may be. You can only warn those who fear their Lord in secret and fulfil their devotional obligations. Whoever grows in goodness does so for himself. To God is the journeying back. 18 The blind and the seeing are not alike; 19 Nor darkness and light, 20 Nor is the shadow equal with the sun's full heat; 21 Nor are alike those that are living and those that are dead. Allah can make any that He wills to hear; but thou canst not make those to hear who are (buried) in graves. 22 You are no more than a warner. 23 We have sent you with the Truth to proclaim good news and to warn. Never has there been a nation but a warner came to it. 24 And if they give thee the lie - even so gave the lie to the truth [many of] those who lived before their time, [when] there came unto them their apostles with all evidence of the truth, and with books of divine wisdom, and with light-giving revelation; 25 so I seized the unbelievers and how terrible was their torment. 26
