۞ O men! It is you who stand in need of God -- God is self-sufficient, and praiseworthy -- 15 If He so wills, He can do away with you and bring forth a new mankind [in your stead]: 16 This would not cost God dear at all. 17 AND NO BEARER of burdens shall be made to bear another's burden; and if one weighed down by his load calls upon [another] to help him carry it, nothing thereof may be carried [by that other,] even if it be one's near of kin. Hence, thou canst [truly] warn only those who stand in awe of their Sustainer although He is beyond the reach of their perception, and are constant in prayer, and [know that] whoever grows in purity, attains to purity but for the good of his own self, and [that] with God is all journeys' end. 18 And the blind and the sighted are not equal! 19 Neither darknesses and light, 20 Nor shade and heat of sunshine. 21 Nor alike are the living and the dead. Verily Allah maketh whomsoever He listeth to hear and thou canst not make them hear who are in the graves. 22 thou art nothing but a warner. 23 We have sent you with the truth as a bearer of good news and a warner, there is no community to which a warner has not come. 24 If they reject you, (know that) others who lived before them had also rejected their Messengers, Messengers who had brought them miracles, scriptures, and the enlightening Book 25 Then I seized those who denied the Truth, and how terrible was My punishment! 26
