Y S (Yaa Seen)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Ya-Sin. 1 By the wise Qur'an, 2 you are indeed one of the messengers 3 pursuing a straight way 4 The sending down of the Mighty, the Most Merciful 5 so that you may warn a people whose ancestors were not warned before wherefore they are heedless. 6 The sentence is surely justified against most of them, for they do not believe. 7 Lo! We have put on their necks carcans reaching unto the chins, so that they are made stiff-necked. 8 And We have put a bar in front of them and a bar behind them, and further, We have covered them up; so that they cannot see. 9 And it is alike unto them, whether thou warnest them or warnest them not; they shall not believe. 10 Thou canst [truly] warn only him who is willing to take the reminder to heart, and who stands in awe of the Most Gracious although He is beyond the reach of human perception: unto such, then, give the glad tiding of [God's] forgiveness and of a most excellent reward! 11 It is We who bring the dead to life and records the deeds of human beings and their consequences (of continual effects). We keep everything recorded in an illustrious Book. 12
