Y S (Yaa Seen)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
YaSeen. 1 I call to witness the Qur'an, custodian of all laws, -- 2 you (Prophet Muhammad) are truly among the Messengers sent 3 On a Straight Way. 4 [This is] a revelation of the Exalted in Might, the Merciful, 5 [bestowed upon thee] so that thou mayest warn people whose forefathers had not been warned, and who therefore are unaware [of the meaning of right and wrong]. 6 Surely most of them merit the decree of chastisement; so they do not believe. 7 We have put yokes round their necks right up to their chins, so that they cannot bow their heads 8 And We shall raise a barrier in front of them and a barrier behind them, and cover them over so that they will not be able to see. 9 Whether you warn them or do not warn, it is all the same; they will not believe. 10 Thou only warnest him who follows the Remembrance and who fears the All-merciful in the Unseen; so give him the good tidings of forgiveness and a generous wage. 11 We shall surely bring the dead back to life and We record what they send ahead and what they leave behind. We have recorded everything in a clear book. 12
