Y S (Yaa Seen)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
Ya, Seen. 1 By oath of the wise Qur’an. 2 That you are indeed one of those sent 3 On the Straight Path. 4 by [virtue of] what is being bestowed from on high by the Almighty, the Dispenser of Grace, 5 That thou mayst warn a folk whose fathers were not warned, so they are heedless. 6 The sentence is surely justified against most of them, for they do not believe. 7 We have indeed put shackles around their necks reaching up to the chins, so they remain facing upwards. 8 And We have put a barrier before them, and a barrier behind them, and We have covered them up, so that they cannot see. 9 Whether thou warn them or thou warn them not, it is alike for them, for they believe not. 10 Thou canst warn only him who followeth the admonition and feareth the Compassionate, unseen. So bear thou unto him the glad tidings of forgiveness and a generous hire. 11 Verily, We shall indeed bring the dead back to life; and We shall record whatever [deeds] they have sent ahead, and the traces [of good and evil] which they have left behind: for of all things do We take account in a record clear. 12
