Y S (Yaa Seen)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
Ya Sin. 1 By the Wise Koran, 2 you are indeed one of the messengers 3 on a straight path; 4 (The Qur’an is) Sent down by the Almighty, the Most Merciful. 5 so that you may warn a people whose fathers were not warned and so they are unaware. 6 Certainly the word has proved true of most of them, so they do not believe. 7 Verily! We have put on their necks iron collars reaching to chins, so that their heads are forced up. 8 And We have set a bar before them and a bar behind them, and (thus) have covered them so that they see not. 9 It makes no difference to them whether you warn them or do not warn them: they will not believe. 10 Thou canst but admonish such a one as follows the Message and fears the (Lord) Most Gracious, unseen: give such a one, therefore, good tidings, of Forgiveness and a Reward most generous. 11 Surely it is We who bring the dead to life and write down what they have forwarded and what they have left behind; everything We have numbered in a clear register. 12
